Introduction into conf-isdn-account |
In order to run the program conf-isdn-account, you need to be logged in as root.
Conf-isdn-account enables you to create the configuration files, needed by the program isdn, in a user-friendly way. You will find these configuration files in the subdirectories /etc/isdn and /etc/isdn/accounts.
One of the tasks of isdn is to add the driver of your ISDN card to the kernel. Therefore conf-isdn-account enables you to enter your card type and the card parameters.
With the current version of conf-isdn-account you can only choose from cards that uses the HiSax driver.
If your card needs another driver, you have to create the configuration file /etc/accounts/isdncard manually. How you should do that is explained in Configuration of non-HiSax ISDN cards.
